Sustainability within our machine factory
Within HWI Machining, we are continuously working to increase our sustainability. Concrete steps have already been taken in various areas, such as; energy supply, lighting, waste management and our machinery (heat use & pollutants). Wherever we can take steps towards sustainability, we do so.

Energy-efficient lighting
Fluorescent lighting has been replaced with energy-efficient LED lighting.

Our machines produce a lot of heat. We re-use this heat through our heat recovery system: while polluted air is extracted and fresh air is supplied, a heat wheel heats the incoming air.
We also pay attention to sustainability in our machines.
Contaminants and improper oils in the cooling emulsion are filtered using skimmers and paper belt filters. By additionally check the quality of the emulsion weekly, keeping the coolants at optimum levels. As a result our refrigerant lasts considerably longer, greatly reducing both the waste stream and the procurement required.
610 solar panels!
We have managed to expand the number of solar panels considerably in recent years.
We have 610 solar panels, good for about 40% of our total energy consumption.

Production
At HWI Machining, we machine a variety of materials, in small runs and series. Read more via the button below or contact us.

Turning
Complex turning for both small runs and large series. From steel to aluminium and plastic, from prototype to finished product and for various industries.

Milling and drilling
We have CNC milling machines on which we can manufacture both small and large products, in both single pieces and series.

Cstuom made
Complex pressure vessels, efficient machine parts and even fretboards for guitars: at HWI, we specialise in customisation.

Cutting
Want to outsource sawing work? With our machines, we cut pieces up to a diameter of up to ø400mm. Read here what we can do for you.

CAD CAM
’World's most advanced workplace automation. More spindle hours, without additional human effort. More accurate results.
